St. Lucie Public Schools: what the rule actually says
St. Lucie does not use one neighborhood-school rule for K-8. Elementary and middle students apply within one of three regional zones: Green north of Midway Road, Blue south of Midway Road and east of Florida's Turnpike, or Red south of Midway Road and west of the Turnpike. High-school students are assigned to the residential-zone school by ZIP code. Assignment is two steps: apply first, then register at the school after assignment.
